The Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of CHICAGO, the musical which holds the record as the third longest running show in Broadway history, will star Samantha Barks as Velma, Drew Carey as Amos, Lucy Lawless as Mama Morton, and Stephen Moyer as Billy.

TNT's enormously popular crime-drama Major Crimes pulled in more than 5 million viewers in Live + Same Day for Monday night's second-season premiere.

TNT and TBS, two of cable's most successful brands, have unveiled an extensive slate of series being developed with some of the industry's best storytellers.

Brooke Shields has been announced as the director of the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of CHICAGO, which holds the record as the third longest running show in Broadway history. Rob Fisher has also been announced as the conductor of the production. Shields starred in CHICAGO both on Broadway and in London's West End and this marks her directing debut. Fisher's association with the show began with the 1996 Broadway revival and he continues to be supervising music director of CHICAGO productions around the globe.

TNT is going to ramp up the drama this summer with a spectacular lineup of original series, including four brand new shows and five returning favorites.

According to Deadline, TNT has officially passed on Jerry Bruckheimer's TROOPER pilot, starring Mira Sorvino.

TNT has given the greenlight to a new untitled private-eye drama starring Jon Tenney (The Closer) and Rebecca Romijn (X-Men) and based on bestselling author David Baldacci's popular characters Sean King and Michelle Maxwell. TNT has ordered 10 episodes of the series, which is being produced by CBS Television Studios. Shane Brennan (NCIS: LA), who penned the pilot, and Grant Anderson (Third Watch) serve as executive producers, with Karen Spiegel (Absolute Power) as producer. Baldacci is a consultant on the series, which is slated to premiere in summer 2013.

Rebecca Romijn has signed on to star in TNT's upcoming P.I. pilot, KING AND MAXWELL. The show comes from NCIS: LA executive producer Shane Brennan.

This summer Adult Swim will serve up a double header, offering a comedic remedy and responding to terroristic threats, with the back-to-back premieres of new seasons of CHILDREN HOSPITAL and NTSF:SD:SUV::, at Midnight and 12:15 a.m. (ET/PT) tonight, August 9th.

Ridiculously silly in all the right ways and featuring a comically gifted, star-studded principal cast--headed up by Richard Kind, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Rebecca Romijn, Dane Cook, Gary Beach, and Roger Bart--that delivers the goods with infectious gusto, this large-scale revival on this outdoor arena elicits a huge chorus of laughter. Back to re-stage the show on the massive stage of the Hollywood Bowl is Susan Stroman, who won Tony Awards for her direction and choreography of the original Broadway production.
