The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin tonight, February 18 to the 23rd, 2014 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater.

Also on hand for our pleasure were special guest star composer and three-time Academy Award winner Richard Sherman and actress/song stylist Andrea Marcovicci.

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, hosted its 41st Annual Annie Awards, recognizing the year's best in the field of animation, last night, February 1, 2014. The Annie Awards cover 30 categories and include Best Animated Feature, Best Animated Special Production, Commercials, Short and Outstanding Individual Achievements.

Bay Area Cabaret has announced that due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict, Stacey Kent, originally scheduled to perform on March 15, has been forced to postpone her appearance to next season. In her place, Bay Area Cabaret will present Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter JUDY COLLINS. With a crystalline voice that famously introduced generations to her own interpretations of songs by Joni Mitchell ('Both Sides Now'), The Beatles ('In My Life'), Bob Dylan ('Mr. Tambourine Man') and others in a career that has spanned more than 50 years, Ms. Collins holds a remarkable place in the music lexicon. Her repertoire encompasses folk music, show tunes, pop, and rock and roll. Appearing together again after their Tony Award winning performances in Evita, Patti LuPone joins Mandy Patinkin onstage for eight performances. Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin are two of Broadway's most venerated performers, having both won a Tony Award for their performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber's groundbreaking Evita in 1980. Since then they have both starred in film, television, the concert stage and back to Broadway. An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin brings them together again - at last. Press opening night is Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

Directors Lab West Steering Committee is pleased to announce the dates for the fifteenth annual Directors Lab West. The 2014 Lab will take place May 17-24th in residence at the Pasadena Playhouse. Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation presents its first season at the Arcadia Performing Arts Center - Air Supply on Saturday, January 25 at 8 pm; America on Saturday, February 22 at 8 pm; Broadway star Susan Egan, the original Belle of Beauty and the Beast, on Saturday, March 1 at 8 pm; and The Temptations on Saturday, June 7 at 8 pm. This four concert season, presented by the Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation, is a means of raising funds to support arts in the schools and maintain this beautiful state-of-the-art facility.

Martinis Above Fourth Table + Stage in San Diego is presenting an event featuring Janis Siegel, nine-time Grammy winner and founding member of The Manhattan Transfer on Thursday, January 16. Siegel makes her Martinis Above Fourth debut appearance with her new show and release of her new CD, NightSongs: A Late Night Interlude. This is Janis' first solo album in seven years and features interpretations of Randy Newman, Jobim, Jorge Drexler, Janelle Monae & more. Janis is joined on stage by album collaborator and pianist John DiMartino, Boris Koslov (bass) and Steve Hass (drums).
