GLAAD, together with FV Events, brings a Brazilian carnival-themed celebration to the middle of New York City, presented by Delta & ROKK Vodka. Over 600 guests will be on hand to support GLAAD's work to share culture-changing stories of the LGBT community with Americans. FV Events has also brought samba dancers, live percussion and carnival inspired performances.

Over fifteen Broadway and National Tour performers will join notable personalities on Monday, June 27, 2011 to celebrate New York City's Gay Pride at The LGBT Center in Manhattan. Broadway Sings for Pride: A Benefit Concert, is being produced by Neal B of NealB.tv and will benefit The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Attendees will enjoy the vast array of songs from Lady Gaga to The Beatles, along with a plethora of Broadway hits. Musical performances will feature cast members from The Book of Mormon, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Rent, Wonderland, Mamma Mia, Anything Goes and many more! Jim Lahti will serve as the evening's musical director and Carly Jibson (Broadway's Hairspray and Cry-Baby) will emcee. Musical accompaniment will be provided Jim Lahti on piano, Sean Harkness on acoustic & electric guitar and David Silliman on percussion. Kat Dudina and Mia Grottola, American Sign Language interpreters, will be signing for the hard of hearing and deaf community.

Nhojj, Sylvestor, et al. Win at OUTMusic Awards

The reggae flavored anthem, 'Gay Warrior Song' required 7 years and 2 versions before it felt complete. However all the care and effort paid off at the 7th Annual OUTMusic Awards, when Guyanese singer/songwriter Nhojj won the trophy for OUTStanding R&B/Soul song of the year. It is the first time in the history of the OUTMusic Awards, an African-American artist has had 2 consecutive wins. Last year Nhojj won for his song 'Love' becoming the first Black male to win an OMA, and earning congratulations from BET/Centric's Soul Sessions for being 'a Black history and a gay history first!'

Broadway stars and Rock stars joined the audience to dance the night away when Rockers on Broadway returned to BB Kings Blues Club last night, November 8th. Directed by Donnie Kehr, ROCKERS ON BROADWAY-Dance Party featured some of the hottest dance tunes from Elvis to GaGa, performed by Broadway stars and the Rock stars who made them famous. Combining complex rhythms, tones and key signatures with a West Coast Cool sound, Dave Brubeck has long been proof that creative and popular jazz can be synonymous. A favorite with critics and fans alike, Brubeck has been redefining jazz music for over 50 years, since his days with General Patton's Army Band during WWII. He is credited as a force in rebirth of jazz in the 1950s and '60s, taking the popular Dave Brubeck Quartet on tour with greats such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Stan Getz, and composing standards such as 'Take Five,' now featured in the Grammy Hall of Fame, and 'Blue Rondo A La Turk.'
