Round House Theatre and the New York based company, The One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) have created a dynamic partnership to present The 1st Washington, D.C. One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed July 12 - 14, 2014 at Round House Theatre. Following sold-out performances in more than 20 cities, this festival aims to celebrate local voices and investigate the local zeitgeist through this exciting process. Performances are at 8pm on Saturday, July 12, Sunday, July 13, and Monday, July 14.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced its 2014 - 2015 season productions, featuring world premiere productions from Hunter Bell and Lee Overtree, Halley Feiffer, Rajiv Joseph andDoug Wright, an American premiere from Moira Buffini and a revival from Atlantic's founder David Mamet.

Tony Award-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will feature Resident Actor Jeffrey Bean as Vanya, Sharon Lockwood returning to the Alley as Sonia, Alley Artist Josie de Guzman returning as Masha, and Resident Actor Jay Sullivan as Spike. Rounding out the cast and making their Alley debuts are Rachael Holmes as Cassandra and Sarah Nealis as Nina. Jonathan Moscone, Artistic Director of California Shakespeare Theater, helms the production and returns after having directed the Alley's 2011 production of Amadeus.

It is my great pleasure to announce that the eighth season of Roundabout Underground will launch with Little Children Dream of God, written by Jeff Augustin and directed by Giovanna Sardelli. The world premiere production will open in February of 2015 at the Black Box Theatre. I am also pleased to announce that Jeff is Roundabout's first Playwright-in-Residence, a position generously supported by the Tow Foundation.

South Coast Repertory's 2014-15 season moves from the Mediterranean island in Shakespeare's The Tempest to Cornwall in a new take on the classic Tristan & Yseult, from Mecca in Zealot by Theresa Rebeck to an updated look at the Land of Oz in OZ 2.5 by Catherine Trieschmann. SCR will present classic, contemporary and new works, including Mr. Wolf by Rajiv Joseph, Of Good Stock by Melissa Ross and Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice. Stone's Throw Productions presents the Vancouver Premiere of Pulitzer Prize Finalist Rajiv Joseph's dark romantic saga Gruesome Playground Injuries. Directed by award winning director Chelsea Haberlin. Gruesome Playground Injuries follows the decades-spanning relationship of an accident-prone daredevil and a corrosive masochist who navigate friendship, love, and the wounds created in between. Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People. Nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play, the cast of Good People includes Alley Theatre Resident Actors Elizabeth Bunch as Margaret, Chris Hutchison as Mike and Melissa Pritchett as Jean. Rounding out the cast are Dylan Godwin, returning to the Alley as Stevie after appearing in the world premiere of Ether Dome; Jennifer Harmon as Dottie, having previously appeared in August: Osage County; and Krystel Lucas making her Alley debut as Kate. Alley Theatre Associate Director James Black directs this production.

Dallas Theater Center announced today the two recipients of the 2013-2014 Project Discovery Distinguished Educator of the Year Award. Shawn Brentham from Irving High School and Catherine Hopkins from W. H. Adamson High School are the first ever co-recipients of the award. The educators have been involved with Project Discovery for five years and together have brought 2,500 students to 28 productions at DTC.
