'Homecoming' is the theme of Barrington Stage Company's 14th Season. The theatre that developed and premiered William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on its Stage II in 2004 welcomes home the award-winning Broadway hit to its Mainstage from June 11 through July 12. Long-time BSC director Rob Ruggiero returns to direct Richard Greenberg's The Violet Hour, which will play July 17 through August 2. Julianne Boyd will direct Noel Coward's delicious battle-of-the-sexes comedy Private Lives starring Christopher Innvar from August 7 through 24. Private Lives marks the fifth stage collaboration between Boyd and Innvar.

Jaradoa Theater presents Serenade, a new musical, beginning Saturday, December 1 through December 15 at Teatro La Tea (107 Suffolk Street, between Delancey & Rivington). The book and lyrics for Serenade are by Rachel Sheinkin, winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She also co-authored Off-Broadway's Striking 12, which recently launched a nationwide tour. The kinetic score for Serenade, composed by Nils Olaf Dolven, mixes electronica, pop and classical elements.
WGHT New Radio Show 'Curtain Call' Interviews Anika Larsen

WGHT Radio (1500AM), North Jersey's oldies station, has just launched 'Curtain Call,' a new program covering the NY & NJ theater scene. Morning host Teisha Bader will be interviewing stars of Broadway, Off-Broadway and local theaters (including Paper Mill) every Wednesday at 9:30AM. Up this week on November 21 is Anika Larsen, currently appearing in the Broadway hit Xanadu, and soon to star Off-Broadway in Serenade.
Zambello Directs 'Little House' New Musical at Guthrie

The Guthrie will debut a new musical, Little House on the Prairie, based on the beloved 'Little House' books by writer Laura Ingalls Wilder. Francesca Zambello, an internationally recognized director of opera and theater, will direct the world premiere, slated for summer 2008 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Upon closing, the award-winning musical will have played 1,136 performances and 21 previews on Broadway.

The Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will celebrate its 1,000th Broadway performance and will welcome its 4,000th volunteer speller on Broadway on Sunday, September 23 at 7:30PM at Circle in the Square Theatre. Over the past 1,000 performances the company has welcomed 4,000 volunteer spellers.
