FitzandStartz Productions continues its inaugural season in March 2016 with an original musical for all ages. I HAVE A SONG TO SING, O! features book by Rachel Lampert and music by Gilbert & Sullivan. I HAVE A SONG TO SING, O! runs for four performances only: Saturday, March 26 at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, and Saturday, April 2 at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Kitchen Theatre Company Artistic Director Rachel Lampert has informed the Board of Directors that the 2016-2017 / 26th Season will be her final season at the theater. 'Next season will be my twentieth as Artistic Director, and I feel that is a milestone and an appropriate time to start new endeavors - my third act. I wanted to be sure the Board of Directors had ample time to find the next Artistic Director, so I have let them know of my plans,' says Lampert. Lampert's tenure has been marked by Kitchen Theatre Company's evolution from a struggling upstart to an established cultural center for Ithaca, Tompkins County and Central New York. She has championed the work of artists of color, women and LGBTQ writers, directors and actors. As a producer, she is recognized for her savvy ability to choose seasons that keep subscribers returning while provocatively pushing the envelope and always maintaining the core mission that 'important conversations happen in the Kitchen.'

Next up on Kitchen Theatre Company's 25th Anniversary Season is a warm, new comedy: DANCING LESSONS by Mark St. Germain Ithaca, NY: Kitchen Theatre Company's 25th Anniversary season continues with the romantic comedy Dancing Lessons by Mark St. Germain. Dancing Lessons opens for previews on March 20th and runs until April 3rd. 

 Kitchen Theatre Company is pleased to announce that an exhibition of paintings by Sally Ryan, 'OPEN DOORS,' is on display in the Judith Holliday Lobby Gallery at 417 West MLK/State Street. The opening reception is on Friday, February 5 from 5:30-7:00pm.

Funny and full of surprises, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER opens for previews on Sunday, January 31 and runs for eighteen performances, through February 21st.

Rachel Lampert's THE SOUP COMES LAST opens for previews on Sunday, November 29 and runs for thirteen performances through December 13th. SOUP is a delightful and hilarious memoir of Lampert's 1997 trip to China to stage the first-ever production of WEST SIDE STORY in the Peoples' Republic. This international backstage story filled with miscommunications and cultural missteps has been a long-time favorite with Ithaca-area audiences.

Kitchen Theatre Company kicks off its 25th Anniversary Season with a wildly hilarious and delightful one-man show. BUYER & CELLAR by Jonathan Tolins stars KTC veteran and favorite Karl Gregory. It is a campy, outrageous and riotously funny tour de force production, directed by Wendy Dann. Performances run September 6 through September 27, 2015.

This season marks a major milestone for the theater: the 25th Anniversary Season and the sixth in its beautifully renovated, LEED-certified home at 417 W. State/MLK, Jr. St. in downtown Ithaca, NY. Led by Artistic Director Rachel Lampert and Managing Director Stephen Nunley, Kitchen Theatre Company is Central New York's Off-Broadway theater, a small professional Equity company producing new and modern plays. Writer/performer Alice Eve Cohen, whose solo play What I Thought I Knew closed the 2012-2013 Kitchen Theatre Company season, is back with another play to close another successful season at the Kitchen. Thin Walls is a one-woman play set in a century-old New York City residential hotel, once elegant but now crumbling. This darkly humorous and moving play interweaves stories of the building's long-term residents, its recent arrivals, and its ghosts. Audiences who loved What I Thought I Knew will love this one too! Thin Walls opens for previews tonight, June 10, press opening is on June 13, and performances run through June 28. BroadwayWorld has a first look at Cohen onstage below!
