Flat Rock Playhouse will soon present LES MISERABLES, featuring Broadway veteran Rob Evan as Valjean. The production, which runs July 10 through August 18, will feature direction by Vincent Marini.

The Denver Center Theatre Company's (DCTC) world premiere production of SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL, with book and lyrics by Jeffrey Haddow and music by Neal Hampton, is being staged by director and choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge, whose recent Broadway revival of Ragtime received seven Tony Award nominations. SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL is currently running in its world premiere production through tonight, May 26, 2013. Starring in the pivotal sister roles are Stephanie Rothenberg as Elinor and Mary Michael Patterson as Marianne. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof first heated up Broadway in 1955 with its gothic American story of brothers vying for their dying father's inheritance. The play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama that same year and has since been seen regularly on stages across the country. Set in the steamy Mississippi Delta,Cat on a Hot Tin Roof takes us deep into Tennessee Williams country, geographically and psychologically. Directed by Tony Award winning director Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Broadway Revival of Ragtime) and starring Barbara Bradshaw (Big Mama), J. Kenneth Campbell (Big Daddy), Preston Dyar Gooper/Brother Man), Robert Eli (Brick), Michael MacCauley (Doc Baugh), Erin Maguire (Mae/Sister Woman), Scott Treadway (Reverend Tooker) and Adria Vitlar (Margaret); Cat on a Hot Tin Roof swelters with the fire of longing for that illusive shade of happiness. Flat Rock Playhouse is teaming with veteran Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn (For The Glory, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wonderland) and lyricist Jack Murphy on a brand new 'jazz age' musical set in Asheville, North Carolina. Loosely based on F. Scott Fitzgerald, the hot Jazz Age novelist who wrote 'This Side of Paradise,' 'The Beautiful and Damned,' 'The Great Gatsby,' 'Tender Is the Night' and 'The Last Tycoon,' and his wife, Zelda. Casting has been announced for the new Frank Wildhorn production of Zelda: An American Love Story, starring Lauren Kennedy and Tony award winner Jarrod Emick. Directed by Vincent Marina with original choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and additional choreography by Stephanie Klemons, the musical opens regionally in North Carolina October 3 at Flat Rock Playhouse, The State Theatre of North Carolina and will run through October 28.
