The 2009 Tony Award-winning musical revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical is coming to Los Angeles. HAIR will begin performances at the Pantages Theatre on January 5, 2011, playing a strictly-limited three-week engagement through January 23, 2011.

The producers of the Public Theater's Tony Award-winning production of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical are pleased to announce casting for the National Tour, which will come to Chicago's Oriental Theatre for a limited, two-week engagement March 9 - 20, 2011. Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of the Public Theater, commented, 'The National Tribe of Hair are the most beautiful beasts in the forest, an amazingly talented group who will be bringing HAIR'S message of peace and justice across the United States. Let the sun shine in!'

While the production was scheduled to run through January 2011, the producers have reportedly decided not to recast the show after the current cast's contracts are up on September 4. The production opened at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End April 14th, 2010.

On Wednesday, September 1, HAIR's 'Claude,' Gavin Creel, bid farewell to the production at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End. Creel originated the role in the Broadway revival that transferred to London this spring, which opened officially on April 14th, 2010.
