The latest album by HuDost marks the neo-folk/world/rock ensemble's tenth anniversary, but Sufi Kirtan (coming out 8/7/15 from White Swan Records / HuDost) is no retrospective.

With not a tutu or tiara in sight, the best dance of the 20th century and the freshest of the 21st combine in The Australian Ballet's 20:21, emerging in Melbourne next month. This electrifying triple bill plays at Arts Centre Melbourne from 27 August to 5 September, before touring to Sydney Opera House from 5 to 21 November.

Inspired by the musical connection of people, place, and culture, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins, announces the 2015 summer's free concerts at the DCR's Hatch Shell. A Far Cry, the Grammy-nominated 18-member young chamber orchestra from Boston, will return to Grafton, Vt. tonight, July 11 for a performance in the acoustically splendid, recently renovated White Church (55 Main Street). The concert begins at 8p. This is a program presented by the not-for-profit Grafton Music Festival.

The highly anticipated U.S. premiere of Angelique Kidjo and Philip Glass's orchestral collaboration, Ife: Three Yoruba Songs for Orchestra, is set to take place tonight, July 10 with the San Francisco Symphony at San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall, conducted by Edwin Outwater. The acclaimed Days and Nights Festival, founded and curated by Philip Glass, returns for its fifth edition September 24–27 with four days of performances in Big Sur and Monterey, CA.

Inside Intelligence is proud to conclude its 20th anniversary season at the Arcola, as part of the Grimeborn Festival, with an exciting double bill: the European premiere of The Wanton Sublime by twice Grammy-nominated composer Tarik O'Regan (Heart of Darkness) and Peter Maxwell Davies' The Medium.

The second program of the Royal Ballet of England's return to New York City after an 11-year hiatus – and the first appearance of the company at the Koch Theatre in Lincoln Center – was an ambitious but not entirely successful presentation of works by British choreographers. The greatest failing was not onstage but in the Playbill. No notes at all were included to help the audience appreciate the ballets and the music in a historical context. While I applaud the company as well as the presenting Joyce Theater Foundation for eschewing the standard story ballets in favor of repertory fare, I am at a loss to figure out why the dancegoers were not given any information other than titles, credits, and casting. On the afternoon of June 27th when I was there, I overheard many people during pauses and intermissions commenting that a little assistance in comprehending the inspiration and intent of the choreographers would have been appreciated.

The Old Globe presents William Shakespeare's delightful and romantic Twelfth Night, directed by Rebecca Taichman, whose production of the time-traveling Time and the Conways fascinated audiences last April, as part of the 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival.
