The John W. Engeman Theater presents THE FULL MONTY, now running through March 5, 2017.

In another hit for Long Island's John W. Engeman Theatre, Tony nominee The Full Monty delivers a lively production like its Broadway predecessor. This wonderful incarnation, directed superbly by Engeman newbie KEITH ANDREWS, runs through March 5th at the gorgeous Northport venue. The tale centers on a group of steel workers who were laid-off from their job and we follow them trying to get back on their feet and overcome insecurities.

In need of quick cash and low on prospects, six unemployed Buffalo steelworkers come up with the outrageous idea to put on a strip act after seeing their wives' enthusiasm for a touring company of Chippendales. As they prepare for the big night, working through their fears, self-consciousness and anxieties, they overcome their inner demons and find strength in their camaraderie.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) welcomes the holiday season with a true theatrical gem, A Child's Christmas in Wales now through January 1st.The show features outstanding direction by Joseph Discher, musical direction by Robert Long and a stellar cast.

Last presented here 13 years ago, many patrons have asked us to bring this musical celebration of the season back to our stage. Based on Thomas' classic story about his childhood holidays in Wales in the early 1900's, this beautiful piece about a time gone by rejoices in the simple joys of childhood, the spirit of goodness, the comfort of family, and the magic that music and the imagination bring to us all.

The festive show is being revived for the first time since it last appeared on the STNJ stage in 2003, featuring Greg Jackson in the role of Dylan Thomas. Performances begin November 30 and run through January 1 at the F.M. Internationally celebrated piano virtuoso Lang Lang has been named an Honorary Fellow of The Royal Conservatory of Music. He received the fellowship - the highest designation conferred by the organization - last night during The Conservatory's sold-out Season Gala concert in Koerner Hall.

The Royal Conservatory of Music has announced two donations of more than $5 million, from Chancellor Michael Koerner and his wife Sonja as well as from board member James Temerty and his wife Louise.

The Royal Conservatory mourns Sir Neville Marriner, one of the 20th century's foremost musicians. The influential conductor, who led orchestras and operas the world over, was perhaps best known as the Founder and Life President of theAcademy of St Martin in the Fields, and for his countless and universally admired recordings with the ensemble. "Marriner stood as an inspiration to all musicians for his magisterial contribution to our field," said Dr. Peter Simon.  

The electric, near ecstatic atmosphere in Brunswick's Pickard Theater last night more closely resembled that of a rock concert than a theatre company opening. For months in advance, the sold out box office has signaled the joyful anticipation of Maine State Music Theatre's new production of Mamma Mia! - one of the first regionally for the blockbuster Broadway hit. But anticipation aside, it is the delivery here that is the story: a stunningly executed, intelligently staged, deliciously performed rendition of the 2001 long running ABBA musical that transformed the intimate Pickard Theater into a boisterous celebration.

Maine State Music Theatre closes out its 2016 season in Brunswick with MAMMA MIA!, the Broadway smash-hit based on songs of pop super group, ABBA. MAMMA MIA! runs from August 10 to August 27. Due to popular demand, three matinees have been added on August 13, 20, and 27.
