Just yesterday, Ben Kallos, Council Member of the 5th District, honored Penn & Teller for their 40th anniversary of inspiring and thrilling audiences. The duo has a long and storied history entertaining New Yorkers and deep roots in New York City. Penn & Teller have had two off-Broadway and three Broadway engagements. Their first off-Broadway appearance in 1985 at the Westside Arts Theatre put them on the map. They first played Broadway in 1987. PENN & TELLER ON BROADWAY marks their return to New York 30 years after their premiere here and is a bona fide hit; it closes this Sunday, August 16.
Their numerous honors include an Obie Award, an Emmy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - and now a Proclamation from the city of New York.
The CW Renews 'WHOSE LINE' & PENN & TELLER: FOOL US

The CW has ordered new cycles of the hit improvisational comedy series WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? and the hit comedy magic series PENN & TELLER: FOOL US, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. The new episodes will debut in 2016.

Penn & Teller On Broadway, which ends its limited run on Sunday August 16 at The Marquis Theatre, has recouped its $2.85 million capitalization. Performances began on July 7 and it opened on July 12.
