Award-winning Scottish playwright Rob Drummond brings the infamous characters Granpaw, Paw and Maw Broon, Hen and Joe, Daphne, Maggie, Horace, the twins and the bairn to life for a Scottish audience in a production filled with laughs, love and comic-strip visuals, all set to a Scottish soundtrack.

Full casting is announced today for THE BROONS, a new stage play bringing Scotland's most famous fictional family to theatres across the country in a World Premiere adaptation by Rob Drummond. The Broons will open at Perth Concert Hall before dates in Inverness, Kirkcaldy, Stirling, Aberdeen, Ayr, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. There will be a press night at Perth Concert Hall on Thursday 29 September 2016 at 7.30pm.

Well known Scottish TV actor Gregor Fisher will be playing Yer Granny, in the National Theatre of Scotland's new gallus comedy of the same name which tours Scotland in 2015. Also announced as joining the cast are Brian Pettifer, (recently seen in BBC TV's The Musketeers), Barbara Rafferty, (Rab C Nesbitt) and Louise McCarthy (London West End's Mamma Mia!) They will join Jonathan Watson, Paul Riley and Maureen Beattie, also known to audiences for their popular stage, screen and comedy performances.

Brian Conley brings the circus to town in Barnum, Alexandra Burke belts out Whitney Houston classics in The Bodyguard, Shrek the Musical takes 'ogre' the King's and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels steals the show.

Three leading Scottish actors, Jonathan Watson, Paul Riley and Maureen Beattie, known to audiences for their popular stage, screen and comedy performances, will appear in the National Theatre of Scotland's new comedy, Yer Granny, in 2015.
