James Franco, will co-host the 2011 Oscars has confirmed to MTV news that he will co-star with Oscar winner Nicole Kidman in the upcoming Broadway revival of SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH, according to Showbiz411.com. Franco says that he will appear appear as Chance Wayne, in the Fall 2011 production, which will be directed by David Cromer.

According to a report by Variety, a handful of producers are currently working on both musical and screen adaptations of Howard Richardson's 1945 play, DARK OF THE MOON. The production team is aiming for a Broadway run in 2012.

On view at The Historic New Orleans Collection's Williams Research Center, 410 Chartres St., 'Drawn to Life: Al Hirschfeld and the Theater of Tennessee Williams' features 125 items, including 50 drawings by the self-described 'characterist' and 75 items from The Collection's permanent holdings relating to the great American playwright.

Rochelle Slovin, Director of Museum of the Moving Image, today announced further details of the events and programs that will celebrate the grand re-opening of America's only museum dedicated to film, TV and digital media in all their forms. Transformed through a $67 million project, the Museum will open to the public on January 15, 2011, having doubled in size (from 50,000 to 97,700 square feet) and been given striking new physical expression by architect Thomas Leeser.
