Parallel Exit presents MOVE IT! at Canal Park Playhouse, 4/15

Parallel Exit, New York City's award-winning physical theatre company, presents MOVE IT! - a free evening presenting some of New York's most exciting physical and visual theatre artists. Featuring brand new solo acts from Parallel Exit's Joel Jeske and Danny Gardner, physical comedy from Harold Moeller, physical theatre from Lucas Caleb Rooney, and variety acts from Angelo Iodice and Miss Saturn, MOVE IT! will be presented at The Canal Park Playhouse on Monday, April 15th at 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Canal Park Playhouse is thrilled to announce a special Valentine's Day evening performance of PERFECT CATCH: A THROWMANTIC COMEDY, created and performed by Michael Karas and Jen Slaw. The special Valentine's Day performance takes place on Thursday, February 14 at 7 PM at Canal Park Playhouse (508 Canal Street, between Greenwich and West Streets in Tribeca). Tickets are $20. Canal Park Playhouse presents the return of PERFECT CATCH: A THROWMANTIC COMEDY, created and performed by Michael Karas and Jen Slaw. PERFECT CATCH begins performances on Saturday, February 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 24. Performances take place at Canal Park Playhouse (508 Canal Street, between Greenwich and West Streets in Tribeca). The performance schedule is Saturdays and Sundays at 1 PM & 4 PM. Writers in Performance is a 12-week poetry, writing and performance workshop culminating in public presentations. Throughout the course of the workshop, ten talented actors, playwrights, poets and storytellers have explored writing exercises, theater games, improvisation, movement techniques, and ensemble work in a safe, creative environment on the topic of "Anticipation." Writers in Performance participants are diverse by design; not only in ethnicity, but by age, and experience as well, mixing professionals with students.

A Couple of Blaguards is a two-character comedy, created by the brothers Frank McCourt and Malachy McCourt, best known for their literary works Angela's Ashes and A Monk Swimming. The McCourt brothers tell the tale of their early lives in Ireland and their successful escape to America.
