Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation (LSCRF) and Presenting Sponsor Carson Pirie Scott will be among the first to kick off October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its 26th Annual Fall Benefit on Monday, September 19 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago (160 East Pearson Street), headlined by Hollywood's sweetheart and Academy Award-winning star Goldie Hawn.

Ars Nova presents, as part of the Out Loud series, a FREE reading of: OPEN HEART MEDITATION by Jonathan Caren, directed by Laura Savia. The cast includes Michael Chernus, Diane Davis, Crystal Finn and Jeffrey Hawkins.

Some of the Big Ten Conference's most distinguished scientists are coming to Lincoln. Starting Sept. 14, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Biotechnology/Life Sciences Seminar Series will feature presentations by Big Ten faculty who are all members of the National Academy of Sciences.

Chicago Dramatists and About Face Theatre are proud to co-produce the world premiere of THE KID THING by Chicago Dramatists Resident Playwright and About Face Theatre Artistic Associate Sarah Gubbins. The Dramatists Guild of America will host their second annual Dramatists Guild Chicago Intensive Four-Day Fellowship Program. The event will take place from September 12-15 at Northwestern University.

The hit series is back in September with three more stars of Broadway. Created by Joseph Macchia this monthly series features some of the most talented Broadway performers as well as some future Broadway stars.
