Flashpoint Theatre Company Presents World Premiere of THE BENDS, Beginning 3/13

Flashpoint Theatre Company dives deep into their 2012-2013 season, titled XX, as the company presents the World Premiere of Megan Mostyn-Brown's The Bends. Flashpoint is setting out to explore the lives and issues women face this season and The Bends is an explosive way to kick the theme off. The Bends follows the company's holiday show and their Barrymore and Brown Martin Award winning World Premiere of Slip/Shot. The show runs March 13-March 31 and opens Saturday, March 16 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $15-$22. All shows will take place at the Off-Broad Street Theatre, 1636 Sansom Street. Arena Stage Presents Lookingglass's METAMORPHOSES, Now thru 3/17

Following its acclaimed 16-week run at the Lookingglass Theatre Company this fall, Metamorphoses brings the mythical tales of Ovid to life at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, 10 years after the Broadway premiere. Written and directed by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman, Metamorphoses is based on David Slavitt's translation and marks the first time Zimmerman will direct the production since its Broadway run. This is also the first time Zimmerman will stage Metamorphoses in the round, and a custom set will be designed with the largest pool of water ever created for this production. Metamorphoses dives onto the Fichandler Stage tonight, February 8-March 17, 2013.
