Celebrated playwright and teacher Paula Vogel will spend two days at the Playwrights' Center in June as part of the Dramatists Guild Fund's Traveling Masters Program. Vogel's visit will conclude with a public conversation on Monday, June 20, at 7 p.m. at the Playwrights' Center, 2301 E. Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis. Victory Gardens Theater to Offer Series of Free Play Readings This Month

Victory Gardens Theater announces the June lineup for The VG Reading Series. This regularly scheduled program of play readings provides playwrights a platform to develop their plays-in-progress, and will give audiences opportunities to experience exciting new work throughout the year. The Reading Series adds to VG's current programming of world premieres and new plays and the IGNITION Festival of New Plays.

Brother and sister Adam and Arielle Jacobs just surprised their parents with the news that Arielle will be playing Princess Jasmine in the Australian production of Aladdin opening in Sydney this August. Hero Theatre announced today that the company will end its 2016-2017 season with a full production of The Conduct of Life by famed Cuban American playwright, Maria Irene Fornes. The production will star Nick Tarabay (Castle, Spartacus and Syfy's The Expanse), and will be directed by the Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Theatre Center, Jose Luis Valenzuela.
