Michael Urie to Join HOW TO SUCCEED... as 'Bud Frump' January 2012

The producers of the 50th Anniversary production of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING announced today that star of stage and television, Michael Urie ("Ugly Betty," The Temperamentals) will make his Broadway debut as Bud Frump, beginning Tuesday, January 24, 2012, for 6 months through Sunday, July 1, 2012. Urie will co-star with Nick Jonas and Beau Bridges. Urie replaces Christopher J. Hanke, who will play his last performance on Sunday, January 22, 2012 alongside Darren Criss. Tickets for Urie's engagement in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING are now on sale.

The producers of the 50th Anniversary production of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING announced today that Emmy, Golden Globe and Grammy Award-winning star of screen, television and stage, Beau Bridges, will return to Broadway for the first time in 38 years in his first musical as J. B. Biggley, beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2012, for 6 months through Sunday, July 1, 2012. Mr. Bridges will co-star with Darren Criss (January 3, 2012 - January 22, 2012) and Nick Jonas (January 24, 2012 - July 1, 2012). Beau Bridges will replace 2011 Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winner John Larroquette, who will play his final performance along with co-star Daniel Radcliffe on Sunday, January 1, 2012. The Broadway League announced today that actor and musician Nick Jonas will serve as the 2012 KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY® National Ambassador. Jonas, who began his career on stage at age 8, returns to Broadway for the first time since the launch of the international sensation The Jonas Brothers when he joins the cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on January 24, 2012 in the iconic role of J Pierrepont Finch. He has previously been seen on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, Beauty and the Beast, and Les Misérables, as well as productions of A Christmas Carol and The Sound of Music. He will also be making a guest appearance next year on the new NBC musical drama Smash.
