The Jewish Plays Project, LABA and Highbrow are co-producers of SIX by Zohar Tirosh-Polk, a fully staged work featured in OPEN: The New Jewish Theater Residency at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street). SIX will perform tonight, June 23rd at 8:00 pm, June 24th at 3 pm and June 25th at 7 pm. Tickets are free by reservation at www.jewishplaysproject.org/tickets.

A talented cast energizes the critically acclaimed play, Bill W. and Dr. Bob, by Samuel Shem and Janet Surrey, to close the highly successful 2011-2012 season for San Jose Rep. Directed by Richard Seer, the work is a quick-witted and honest docu-drama following two dynamic and dedicated men who, in the midst of their battle with acute and debilitating alcoholism, formed a formidable and historic alliance to help each other and others combat the same addiction.

Olney Theatre Center previously announced the opening of the mystery thriller, Sleuth, as well as says goodbye to long-time Artistic Director Jim Petosa. Sleuth will play Olney Theatre Center's Mainstage from tonight, June 13 to July 8, 2012.
NNPN Announces $60,000 in Playwright Commissions and Residencies

The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, will award grants of more than $60,000 to playwrights for Commissions and Residencies in 2012-13. The Awards were announced at the organization's Annual Conference on June 6 in Kansas City, MO, hosted by member Unicorn Theatre Company.

New Repertory Theatre today announced a one-week extension of the Off-Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. Originally scheduled to close May 20, the production, now running in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts performs through May 27, 2012.
