Olney Theatre Center, the award-winning, year-round arts and entertainment destination, announces the opening of the area premiere of Over the Tavern by Tom Dudzick. Over the Tavern will grace Olney Theatre Center's Mainstage from September 26 to October 21, 2012. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production below.

Winnie the Pooh, one of the most popular children's characters of all time, has made his home at the Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre this fall with the theatre's production of Disney's Winnie the Pooh. On Wednesday, September 26th, Pooh and his friends will be venturing from Way Off Broadway to the Frederick Library for its 11:00 a.m. story time.

On October 15th at 9:30pm CAROL WOODS moonlights from the Broadway musical Chicago to appear in concert in Broadway to Blues at 54 Below, 254 West 54th Street. Directed by Leslie Dockery, Broadway to Blues features Shelton Becton on piano and as musical director.

Today, September 17 at 10 a.m., the Neil Simon Theatre Box Office opens for the new Broadway musical SCANDALOUS: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson.

According to People, Sally Struthers, star of the currently running 9 to 5: The Musical at Maine's Ogunquit Playhouse, returned for two shows this Thursday, September 13, just a day after being arrested for driving under the influence.

Winning the prestigious Woodward/Newman Award for best play, while being developed at Rogue Machine for their 2012 season, brought with it a fully funded production mounted at the Bloomington Play Project in Indiana. It turned out to be one of their most successful projects to date. A Holland New Voices Award came shortly afterwards, and now playwright Henry Murray is ready for its close-up at Rogue Machine, known for staging new works. This will be a West Coast Premiere in one of the country's most vibrant cities for new plays, Los Angeles, opening tonight, September 15, 2012.
