The critically acclaimed play Little Murders by Jules Feiffer comes to Brooklyn 50 years after its premiere in a new production directed by Shira Milikowsy (The Lily's Revenge at American Repertory Theater). This production, which began its life at Harvard University in 2014, catapults the play into our present political and cultural landscape, hinting towards a dystopian future that feels all too possible.

The Nora Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Alan Brody's THE MIDVALE HIGH SCHOOL FIFTIETH REUNION, a light-hearted, evocative trip down Memory Lane with the Class of 1954. Directed by Lee Mikeska Gardner, Emmy-winning actor Gordon Clapp and Underground Railway Theater Artistic Director Debra Wise portray two classmates returning to their alma mater for the first time. Neither is sure of what they're looking for, but they hope they'll recognize it if they find it.

City Theatre is excited to announce the plays and events included in Momentum '17: New Plays at Different Stages, the South Side theater company's annual festival of new play development. The annual festival will run from May 31 - June 4, 2017 and will include three public presentations of plays - plus one musical - at different stages in the development process, a closed reading of new work by a Young Playwrights Festival Alumnus, a Happy Hour/Artists Meet & Greet with Urbanist Pittsburgh, and an interactive opportunity to participate in conversation with local playwright Tami Dixon for an upcoming project. The readings and events are free and open to the public. Three actresses play eight characters, most of whom are women, and one very smart gorilla.

KIDNAP ROAD - a new play by Catherine Filloux, based on the real-life story of a female presidential candidate held in captivity for six years by terrorists in Colombia - will be given its world premiere production this spring, presented by La MaMa at its First Floor Theatre (74 E. 4 St.), with previews beginning April 27 prior to the official press opening on April 30.

Character-driven Alan Ayckbourn play is a complex sequence of branching storylines, leading to numerous endings, with multiple characters played by two actors. Olivia D'Ambrosio directs fine performances by Sarah Elizabeth Bedard and Jade Ziane at the Nora Theatre Company at Central Square Theater.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Quinn, has announced that due to popular demand for its production of James and the Giant Peach, it has added two performances, on Saturday, January 7 at 10AM and Sunday, January 8 at 10AM.

Following previous season's sold-out holiday hits, The Snow Queen, Hansel and Gretel, The Light Princess, and The Pirate Princess, the A.R.T. Institute presents James and the Giant Peach, adapted for the stage by David Wood from the book by Roald Dahl, directed by A.R.T. Institute alumnus Dmitry Troyanovsky, featuring actors from the A.R.T. Institute Class of 2017.
