The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presents a developmental reading of Windywoo and Her Naughty Naughty Pets, a new musical based on the popular Naughty Naughty Pets franchise, featured on Cartoon Network and Disney's Hyperion Books for Children. The developmental readings will take place July 11 at 1pm and July 13 at 4pm and 7pm at the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street).

'Unforgettable', 'Incredible', 'Sophisticated Lady'...all words that appropriately describe the 'incomparable' Natalie Cole, who appeared at the Belk Theater this past Thursday, June 25. The big band sound filled the entire room with echoes of symphonic music. Impressively dressed in a white 'princess like' formal dress, accessorized with 'bling' on her shoes, bracelets, belt and even on her microphone, Natalie opened the first part of her melodious performance with such classic jazz numbers such as 'Summertime', 'Fever', and who could forget the Ella Fitzgerald's nursery rhyme 'A Tisket, A Tasket'. She also dazzled us with timeless songs that her legendary dad, Nat King Cole popularized such as 'Route 66', 'Smile' and of course the posthumous duet with her father 'Unforgettable'. Her smooth octave voice and appreciation for different styles of music took us on a 'toe-tapping', 'finger-snapping' journey. She even surprised us with a Country tune entitled, 'Your Side of the Bed'. Her versatility extended to singing a few Latin tunes from her 'Natalie Cole En Espanol' musical compilation.

Outdoor summer entertainment venue Music by the Lake, presented by George Williams College of Aurora University, announces its 15th annual season presenting six artist debuts and a range of musical genres and shows, including American classics, jazz, contemporary rock, comedy for families, pop and classic rock. HAPPY50ish!, the mid-life crisis musical comedy will have its Off-Broadway premiere beginning Wednesday, July 15 at The Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) on Theatre Row. Created by Lynn Shore, Mark Vogel and David Burnham, and directed and choreographed by Paul Stancato, HAPPY 50ish! opens Sunday, July 26.  Previews run from July 15 through July 25 and the show will play a limited engagement through August 30.
