Tala Ashe, Greg Keller, Nadine Malouf and Bernard White will be featured in the upcoming LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater New York premiere production of The Who & The What, by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior. The Who & The What begins previews Saturday, May 31, opens Monday, June 16 and will run through Sunday, July 13 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65th Street). All tickets will be $20.

There's a marked difference between a tragedy and a wallow, and Scorched falls on the wrong side of that divide early and often. Syracuse Stage's production of Wajdi Mouawad's play skillfully renders its themes, but that's more to its detriment than to its credit when the play is question is this leaden and fundamentally dishonest.

Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) alumna Nadine Malouf was caught up in the fanfare surrounding Cameron Mackintosh and Tom Hooper's film adaptation of Les Miserables when she received the invitation of a lifetime to perform alongside Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and other principals from the film at the 85th annual Academy Awards on February 24 in Los Angeles.

Casting has been announced for the Cherry Lane Theatre's 2013 Mentor Project plays LAWNPEOPLE by Natalia Naman and EXILE by Nastaran Ahmadi. Both plays debut as part of Cherry Lane Theatre's 15th anniversary MENTOR PROJECT (38 Commerce St. in Manhattan), the award-winning season which began February 20 and concludes April 13.

The performance from the cast of LES MISERABLES began with Hugh Jackman taking the stage to perform the new original song 'Suddenly' from Tom Hooper's adaptation, where he was then joined by Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Samantha Barks, Aaron Tveit, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne - as well as numerous members from the show's various productions - to perform the Act One Finale 'One Day More', while Anne Hathaway will sing a section of 'I Dreamed A Dream'. Cameron Mackintosh's new 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables welcomes Peter Lockyer to the role of Jean Valjean beginning in East Lansing, MI, at Wharton Center on April 5, 2012. This week also marks the debut of Timothy Gulan as Thenardier, Lauren Wiley as Cosette, and Jason Forbach as Enjolras. The all new production of Les Miserables features glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo. The production plays Wharton Center through April 8 followed by Indianapolis, IN at Clowes Memorial Hall April 10-15 and Greenville, SC at The Peace Center April 17-22.
