Henning Rübsam's SENSEDANCE will present two premieres celebrating his 21st year as founding artistic director of his ensemble tonight, October 27th at 8:30pm and Sunday, October 28th at 6:00 pm at Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance, 126 East 13th Street. Von Ussar Danceworks presents the 6th Annual Dance Gallery Festival, featuring original works from emerging and renowned choreographers from around the country on October 12, 13, and 14, 2012 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 W. 55th Street, NYC (at Ninth Avenue). The performances on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13 are at 7:30pm. The performance on Sunday, October 14 begins at 7pm and introduces the newest addition to the festival, LEVEL UP.

The New Orleans Ballet Association and The NOCCA Institute join in the international celebration of the centennial of a trailblazing choreographer and the father of multi-media dance theatre in the Alwin Nikolais Centennial on November 19 and 20 in three performances at NOCCA's Freda Lupin Memorial Hall. Co-presented by the New Orleans Ballet Association and The NOCCA Institute, the event features a program by one of the most versatile, innovative and influential artists of the twentieth century, performed by Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company with a special guest appearance by Tulane University's Newcomb Dance Company.

The Centenary of Alwin Nikolais's birth is being celebrated in 10 cities world-wide with New York engagements at Nikolais's original artistic home, the Henry Street Playhouse (now the Abrons Arts Center), May 1 and 2, and at The Joyce Theater, May 4-9. The spectacular double season of revivals, some dating back to 1953, will be performed by the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, the repository of the Nikolais Dance Theatre repertory. The Company's performances of Nikolais's dances are directed by Alberto Del Saz and Murray Louis.
