Westport Country Playhouse will stage the newly revised adaptation of the timeless classic, 'The Diary of Anne Frank,' helmed by award-winning director Gerald Freedman, September 28 through October 30, as part of its 80th Anniversary Season.

Concurrent with its autumn production of 'The Diary of Anne Frank,' Westport Country Playhouse is partnering with 16 community organizations to present 'Window onto History: Perspectives on ‘The Diary of Anne Frank.'

Concurrent with the production of 'The Diary of Anne Frank,' Westport Country Playhouse is providing a glimpse behind the scenes on The Playhouse Blog, launched September 9. As part of their generous support, Bank of America has made it possible for all tickets to the first performance on September 10 to be sold for $10.00. These tickets will only be available for purchase at the Henry Miller's Theatre box office, beginning at 12pm on Monday, August 10. The box office is located at 124 West 43rd Street. Limit two tickets per person.

Bye Bye Birdie creators Charles Strouse and Lee Adams joined the stars and creative team on Tuesday, July 28th to cut the ribbon outside the new Henry Miller's Theatre. The group celebrated with a ceremony that inaugurated the new theatre on the 1st day of Bye Bye Birdie rehearsals. BroadwayWorld/com was there for the festive event!

'Dance of the Seven Headed Mouse,' a new play by Carole Gaunt, will conclude its limited Off-Broadway engagement this Saturday, July 25th at The Beckett at Theatre Row. 'Dance of the Seven Headed Mouse' opened on June 23rd to favorable reviews led by Bloomberg's John Simon who called the play 'Genuinely touching.' Under the direction of Christopher McElroen, the cast includes Joseph Adams, Laura Bonarrigo, Molly Ephraim, Lauren Currie Lewis, and Maya Simkowitz.
