Just yesterday, the company of Beautiful celebrated a milestone- two years on Broadway! Since opening on Broadway on January 12, 2014, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter has broken all box office records at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, where it is now the highest grossing production in the theatre's history.  It recently passed the $100 million in grosses and is already the 27th highest grossing musical in Broadway history.  BroadwayWorld was there for the special day and you can check out photos below!

Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director and Melissa Huber, Managing Director) continues its 2015/16 IGNITE Series at The Times Center (242 W 41st Street), with a concert celebrating the works by Fred Ebb Award winners John Bucchino, Doug Cohen, Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak, Adam Gwon, Nathan Tysen and Chris Miller tonight, November 21 at 8pm.

KINKY BOOTS, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for KINKY BOOTS), launches the second year of its first national tour tonight, November 10, in Austin, TX at Bass Concert Hall. 

The Aviva Players, now in its 40th season, invites opera goers to travel into the past and future with its 'Double Feature of Chamber Opera Films' to be presented at Opera America, 330 Seventh Ave., Manhattan, tonight, November 4. The films are 'Villa Diodati' a screen version of Mira J. Spektor's opera about Mary Shelley and the origins of her Frankenstein story, and 'Libertaria: the Virtual Opera' by Sabrina Pena Young, a futuristic animated tale that may be the world's first original machinima opera and is certainly one of the few animated comic book operas.
