Stages Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare Globe Centre of the Southwest Will Bring ROMEO & JULIET to Schools

Stages Repertory Theatre is partnering with the Shakespeare Globe Centre of the Southwest to present a free 45-minute performance of ROMEO & JULIET for Houston-area high school campuses and other facilities. Director Rutherford Cravens brings together four students - Christine Arnold, Nicole Gamache, Miguel Garcia, Paige Warton - from the University of Houston School of Theatre and professional actor Eva Laporte for the five-person adaptation.

In celebration of National "Coming Out" Day today, October 11, 2012, Casa 0101 Theater, Josefina Lopez, Artistic Director, in collaboration with the Latino Equality Alliance will present a special performance of the theater's currently playing critically acclaimed production of The 2nd Annual BROWN & OUT Theater Festival, produced by Miguel Garcia, featuring 10 World Premiere short plays focusing on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Questioning and Queer Latino/a experience.

Casa 0101 Theater, Josefina Lopez, Artistic Director, will present Casa 0101's 2nd Annual Brown & Out Theater Festival (BAOTF), featuring a collection of 11 World Premiere short plays celebrating the Latino/a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning/Queer experience. Executive produced by Miguel Garcia, the Festival will be presented on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m., September 28 - October 21, 2012 at The New Casa 0101 Theater, 2102 East 1st Street (at St. Louis Street), Boyle Heights, CA 90033.

BrightSide Theatre wraps up their inaugural season with, "My Way: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra" conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson and book by Todd Olson. Frank Sinatra is the icon of cool - from classic elegance to contemporary "fedora" hipster. "My Way: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra" celebrates the pivotal moments of Sinatra's life which would solidify his legendary status. The show runs from tonight, June 15, 2012 8 p.m. (reception following) at the Theatre at MeileySwallow Hall, North Central College, 31 S. Ellsworth, Naperville, IL 60540 until Sunday, July 1, 2012. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.
