SOMETHING ROTTEN!'s heading to Omaha and someone local along with it. Actually, there are two "local" actors in this wonderfully silly, delightful Tony-nominated hit. One is Daniel Beeman from Bellevue, Nebraska. Daniel is a 2011 graduate of Bellevue West High School and is traveling in his national touring debut as chorus member and understudy for the character of Shakespeare, played by Broadway favorite Adam Pascal. I called Daniel and questioned him a bit about his new career and the show.

Do This, a new play by Karen Siff Exkorn (bestselling author of The Autism Sourcebook) and starring Annie Parisse (Clybourne Park, The Layover, 'Law and Order') will be performed at an invitation only developmental reading on Thursday, April 27th at 3pm at The Loft at the Davenport Theatre (354 W. 45th Street).

Producers Sonia Friedman and Scott Rudin announced today that Tony® Award nominee Tom Sturridge, Olivia Wilde in her Broadway debut, and Tony® Award winner Reed Birney will lead the cast of the Broadway Premiere of the new stage adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984. The trio, who will portray the novel's classic characters Winston Smith, Julia and O'Brien, respectively, will be joined by Wayne Duvall (Parsons), Carl Hendrick Louis (Martin), Nick Mills (Syme), Michael Potts (Charrington), and Cara Seymour (Mrs. Parsons).

Singer/songwriter and pop culture icon Bebe Buell returns to New York, bringing her unique blend of storytelling and powerhouse rock n roll to perform her all new show "Baring It All" at Joe's Pub at 425 Lafayette Street in Manhattan on Tuesday, April 4th and Wednesday, April 5th at 9:30pm. The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) are pleased to announce programming for the second annual Tilt Kids Festival. With five world premieres and four U.S. debuts, the multidisciplinary festival presents adventurous and playful new work for families from artists spanning the globe.
