Roundabout Theatre Company is thrilled to welcome back four-time Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory," Roundabout's Harvey) in a hilarious one-night-only reading of George S. Kaufman and Marc Connelly's Merton of the Movies. This rollicking evening will be helmed by Roundabout's Adams Associate Artistic Director, six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis (Roundabout's Harvey, The Mystery of Edwin Drood), currently represented on Broadway with You Can't Take It With You.

Local author Michelle Williams recently teamed up with Tate Publishing to begin the publication process of her new book My Name is Ruth. A poignant book based on Williams' life experiences, the author shares how she was delivered from her circumstances and how she can help other women come to their place of salvation. 'As a child, I faced life changing circumstances that would mold, and shape my way of thinking. It was much distorted. Not understanding how to deal with rejection, it caused me to go into a cocoon; and I was not able to express my thoughts and feelings. I didn't know how to communicate... My dad loved me, this I know, but his choices in his childhood were also taken to some point. He was not a good communicator. So I pretty much did what I was told,' shared Williams. The Tate Publishing acquisitions editor that signed the book, Stacy Baker, was moved by Williams words and concept when reading the manuscript, sharing 'From a life of brokenness, Author Michele Williams speaks from her heart in her new book. She knows what it is like to make mistakes that leave an impact. In the midst of life's valleys, she knows that God can 'turn your midnight into day' as she so eloquently phrases it. He want to take those mistakes, that sin, and with his love, show you how you can rise up from your brokenness.' When asked about her inspiration to write the book, Williams shared that 'not having the support I needed when going through [her own] trials... put [her] in a place of isolation.' Working to help others overcome the shame and guilt that she herself struggled with, Williams wrote the book to encourage others, using inspiration from the people with which she was able to 'share [her] heart and not be condemned.' Williams believes that endurance is one of they key qualities that ensured her transformation, stating 'I refused to quit. The more the trials, the more motivated I became.' She hopes to share the same transforming motivation and endurance with her readers. 'Hopefully after people read this book they will be encouraged and fight to change... that they get an understanding of who God created them to be and that change is possible.' First Run Features announces the worldwide theatrical premiere of Doug Pray's latest documentary, Levitated Mass, at Landmark's Nuart Theater in Los Angeles, tonight, September 5, 2014. Produced by Jamie Patricof and Electric City Entertainment (Half Nelson, Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines), Levitated Mass will follow its Los Angeles opening with runs in New York and other cities.

Roundabout Theatre Company will present Tony Award-winner Rosemary Harris in the New York premiere of Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink, directed by Carey Perloff. Indian Ink begins previews tomorrow, September 4, and officially opens on Tuesday, September 30, at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 46th Street).

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced additional casting for The Real Thing, starring Ewan McGregor as 'Henry,' Maggie Gyllenhaal as 'Annie,' Cynthia Nixon as 'Charlotte' and Josh Hamilton as 'Max.' Tom Stoppard's Tony Award-winning play The Real Thing, directed by Sam Gold begins preview performances on Thursday, October 2, 2014 and opens officially on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42ndStreet). This is a limited engagement. The cast also includes Alex Breaux as 'Brodie' and Madeline Weinstein as 'Debbie.' Final casting to be announced.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that celebrated make-up designer Angelina Avallone and the Kit Kat Girls from CABARET will give a FREE make-up demonstration at MAC Cosmetics Times Square (1540 Broadway) on Thursday, August 28 at 3pm. MAC is the Official Makeup partner of CABARET. Guests will learn from Avallone how to recreate the bold signature look of 1920s Berlin she designed for the hit Broadway revival. The demonstration will be followed-up by a live performance by the Kit Kat Girls.

Current 'Sally Bowles' Michelle Williams will play her final performance on November 9, 2014.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this afternoon, Emma Stone will officially take over for Michelle Williams as 'Sally Bowles' in Roundabout Theatre's CABARET revival on Broadway in November. Williams will end her run on November 9, 2014, with Stone taking over on the 11th, and continuing until February 1st. Additionally Tony-winning Emcee, Alan Cumming, and Tony-nominees Linda Emond and Danny Burstein have extended their runs until late March.
