THEATERSPEAK will present an installation of more than 70 award-winning and emerging playwrights writing new plays in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop during store hours, August 13th - September 1st, In each two-hour time slot, a different playwright will write their play on a laptop, while the screen shot of their computer is visible to the street, opening their process up to the passerby on the street. Horse Trade Theater Group will present their resident acting ensemble, The Drafts in the World Premiere of when half the sphere is visible, written by Jesse Cameron Alick (Artistic Director of Subjective Theatre Company; Artistic Associate at The Public), Matthew Gutschick (Rubber Doves, winner of the New Horizons Playwrighting Competition), Michael McGuire (Sometimes I Feel Like I Missed the Train at The Lark Play Development Center), and Germono Toussaint (Caged at the 2006 Not for Broadway Theater Festival; The Anointed at The 2010 Fire This Time Festival), May 10-26 at The Red Room (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). The production will be directed by Ilaria Amadasi,Jaclyn Biskup (Assistant Director, Love's Labour's Lost at The Public), Lindsey Moore (No Tea Productions), Sara Walsh, and Donya Washington (Now the Cats with Jeweled Claws with Target Margin Theatre).

Casting has been announced for the Fifth Annual New York One-Minute Play Festival, hosted by Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. The New York One-Minute Play Festival will take place Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street), the Off-Broadway home of Primary Stages. Seating is extremely limited.

Primary Stages Marvin and Anne Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA), the company's professional training school, has announced its 2011 Fall schedule of classes. ESPA will offer new classes including Acting the Song, Character Acting, and Directing and Producing. New instructors Liz Duffy Adams, Charles Busch, Dominic D'Andrea, A.R. Gurney, Michael Cerveris and Cheri Magid join returning faculty members Tanya Barfield, Karen Braga, Bekah Brunstetter, Michelle Bossy, Denis Butkus, Kara Lee Corthon, Carl Forsman, Jane Guyer Fujita, Jackson Gay, Randy Graff, Adam Gwon, Josh Hecht, Lila Rose Kaplan, Kait Kerrigan, Stephanie Klapper, Primary Stages Artistic Director Andrew Leynse, Linda and David Laundra, Michele Lowe, Rogelio Martinez, Winter Miller, Adam Reist, Richard Topol, Edwin Sanchez, Julian Sheppard, Daniel Talbott, Ken Urban and Kim Weild.
