The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) announces the productions selected for its newest program: FringeFAVE. On August 30th, one final performance slot in each of the 17 theaters hosting the festival has been given to the best-selling show in that venue. Tickets for all of these 'favorite' shows are now on sale at www.FringeNYC.org.

After a week of air-conditioning problems at The Lynn Redgrave Theater that caused some performances to be canceled and others to be performed with only work lights, FringeNYC has moved 8 of its shows to SoHo Playhouse.

Lincoln Center Theater presents Patti LuPone, Dale Soules, Michael Urie, Jordan Dean, Lance Coadie Williams, and Zoe Winters in Shows For Days, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane, directed by Jerry Zaks. The production opened, June 29 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street), and it closes tonight, August 23.

Hunter Bell ([title of show], Now, Here. This., Found) and Susan Blackwell ([title of show], Now. Here. This., Side by Side by Susan Blackwell) will co-host Broadway Back to School, a benefit for the International Thespian Society's (ITS) initiatives to support theatre arts education for underserved students and schools. Broadway Back to School 2015 will be a fun-filled, fast-paced evening that includes cocktails, dinner, no long speeches, and appearances by Nicolette Robinson ('The Affair', 'Hart of Dixie', 'Perfect Couples'), Michael Urie (Buyer and Cellar, How to Succeed..., 'Ugly Betty', He's Way More Famous Than You), Blake Daniel (Spring Awakening, Hello Again) as well as other stars of stage and screen, Thespian alumni, and friends.

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, kicks off its 19th Annual Festival tomorrow, August 14, running through August 30, 2015. This year, festival productions including SHAKE THE EARTH, ELEPHANTS AND OTHER WORLDLY DILEMMAS and THE GAP among other rang the NASDAQ closing bell today to commemorate the festival's August 14th opening. On Monday night, January 20, 2014 BroadwayWorld.com kicked off our 10th anniversary celebration with a benefit for BC/EFA entitled BroadwayWorld.com Visits Oz. In celebration of Michael Urie's birthday, we bring you a special clip of his performance. A longtime friend to BroadwayWorld.com, during his sold-out run of BUYER & CELLAR, he made time to come to JOE'S PUB to be part of our 10th Anniversary. Comedy in many varieties will be the common refrain of the 8th annual Origin's 1st Irish Festival running from September 2 to October 4. The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will present the 19th Annual Festival from August 14 - 30, 2015. This year the festival will present programming by 185 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies in 16 venues in downtown Manhattan. With attendance topping 75,000 people, FringeNYC is New York City's fifth largest event (just behind New York International Auto Show, Tribeca Film Festival, New York City Marathon, and New York Comic Con). On Thursday, July 16, the Theater People Podcast welcomes Broadway vet and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK star Lea Delaria. On the episode, DeLaria shares stories from her nearly 35-year career as a stand-up comic, jazz musician, Broadway leading lady, and film and television actor.

The 17th annual Broadway Barks fundraiser - the star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore - was held July 11 in Shubert Alley.
