The Jewish Channel will ring in 2016 with the latest edition of its popular theater­oriented monthly TV show, "Row J". The show is hosted by TJC correspondent Meredith Ganzman. The executive producer is Brian Scott Lipton.

On Monday, January 4, the Theater People podcast welcomes HAMILTON star Renee Elise Goldsberry. In the episode, Goldsberry talks about why she turned down her audition for the show several times, learning her showstopping number 'Satisfied,' and how it feels to be a part of the phenomenon that is HAMILTON.

To life! The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF just opened Sunday night, December 20 at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway), wrapping up the 2015 Broadway season. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, and choreographed by Hofesh Shechter. On Tuesday, December 15, the Theater People Podcast welcome's Tony-nominee Norm Lewis, whose career on and off Broadway, in London's West End, and on the international concert circuit, spans nearly 25 years, and counting. He will be making his Feinstein's/54 Below debut with a holiday show running from December 20th to 24th at 9:30pm.

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) will celebrate its 20th Anniversary August 12 - 28, 2016. Each year the festival presents programming by nearly 200 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies. General FringeNYC applications for 2016 are currently being accepted for participants in all genres (theatre, dance, puppetry, performance art, multi-media, etc.).

Oakland, CA, December 10, 2015—Music Director Michael Morgan and the Oakland Symphony continue their annual exploration of world orchestral music traditions this season with Notes from Vietnam, Friday, February 12, 2016, at 8 pm at the Paramount Theatre. Featured will be Emmy Award-winning composer performer Vân-Ánh Võ, who will give the world premiere of her Lullaby for a Country, performing on the ?àn tranh (Vietnamese zither), ?àn B?u (monochord), and vocals. In addition, TV and Broadway star and filmmaker Michael Urie (Ugly Betty, Modern Family) will narrate Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Completing the program will be Dvo?ák's Carnival Overture. The Symphony's Notes from . . . series has become a popular mainstay of the Bay Area music scene and annually explores symphonic music both new and traditional from cultures that may be less well known to audiences. Past Notes from . . . programs have focused on music from Mexico, Persia, the Philippines, China and the Middle East, among others. Free lobby entertainment, no-host drinks and pre-concert talk begin at 7 pm. W New York - Times Square announced today the launch of Ultimate Encore, a short film written and directed by Alan Cumming, in celebration of the newly renovated Living Room, the brand's signature, see-and-be-seen spin on the hotel lobby. Through the film, Cumming captures the energetic and dramatic designs of the new space, while celebrating its location in the heart of Times Square. Ultimate Encore will also raise money and awareness for pet charity, Broadway Barks, with proceeds from the items featured in the film being donated to the great cause. The Players, the historic private social club on Gramercy Park, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cult comedy classic "Clue" with an all-star tribute performance honoring Jonathan Lynn, the film's director and screenwriter, on Sunday, December 13th.

On Monday, November 30, the Theater People podcast welcomes Broadway favorite Elizabeth Stanley. She is currently headlining the first national tour of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY in the role of Francesca. Stanley made her Broadway debut as April in the 2006 John Doyle helmed production of COMPANY. She went on to originate the role of Allison in CRY BABY, and then Dyanne in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. She was most recently seen on Broadway as Claire in last year's Tony-nominated ON THE TOWN.

'A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum' is a holiday treat for metropolitan area audiences. Directed by Jessica Stone with choreography by Denis Jones and musical direction by Gary Adler, the stellar all-male cast is brimming with talent.

On Monday, November 23, the Theater People Podcast welcomes back Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford. Ashford, who was Theater People's third ever guest. For this episode, Ashford talks about her Tony Award winning turn in last year's YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, her critically acclaimed work on the Showtime series MASTERS OF SEX, and working alongside Matthew Broderick and Julie White in the current Broadway revival of SYLVIA.

Two River Theater presents A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, directed by Jessica Stone and featuring an all-male troupe led by An Act of God's Christopher Fitzgerald as 'Pseudolus', a slave who tries to win his freedom by playing matchmaker for his innocent young master.

Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street, New York, NY 10023). The event featured readings byJocelyn Bioh, Marc Damon Johnson, Jason Dirden, Austin Durant, Dominique Fishback, Lynda Gravatt, Nikiya Mathis, Chris Myers, Carra Patterson, Will Rogers, Michele Shay and Brian Tyree Henry.
