The 2016 Tony Awards celebrated 70 years of honoring the best of Broadway last night at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. In addition to the class of 2016 Tony Nominees, the star-studded evening featured appearances by Cate Blanchett, Claire Danes, Common, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Glenn Close, Josh Groban, Jake Gyllenhaal, Neil Patrick Harris, Sean Hayes, James Earl Jones, Daniel Dae Kim, Carole King, Diane Lane, Nathan Lane, Angela Lansbury, Lucy Liu, Bebe Neuwirth, Saoirse Ronan, Keri Russell, Meg Ryan, Barbra Streisand, Oprah Winfrey and many more. As predicted, HAMILTON was the big winner of the night, taking home a whopping eleven awards, including the coveted Best Musical.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce the arrival of the Hamptons' newest diva, with the world premiere of THE FORGOTTEN WOMAN, a new play by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Noah Himmelstein. The production starts tomorrow, May 31, and runs through June 19. There is a 'Pay What You Can' performance on May 31 with a limited amount of tickets available at the Box Office starting at 11 am that are based on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for media covering New York theatre hosted its award ceremony for the 2015-16 season last night, May 26, at Sardis in Manhattan. The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director, Gabriel Shelian-Shanks) gathers today for the 82nd Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony, hosted by 2016 Tony® Award-nominees, Zachary Levi (She Loves Me) and Megan Hilty (Noises Off), in the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). 

Natasha Katz has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Play for LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT.

On May 4, the nominees flocked to the Paramount Hotel, where they met with the press for the first time since getting the big news.
