The Hangar Theatre is pleased to announce the shows for its upcoming Wedge Series. These four shows will be under the direction of the Drama League Directing Fellows, and will feature members of the Hangar Theatre Lab Company. Each year the Hangar offers free admission to Hangar patrons and all community members to its Wedge Series of cutting edge performances. These shows take place under the Hangar Tent, which is transformed into a unique performance venue for each Wedge show. Performances begin 15 minutes after the scheduled Mainstage performances on June 19 and 20, and July 3, 4, 17, 18, 24, and 25. Wedge performances are open to all ages; however they may contain mature language and situations that may not be suitable for all children.

The Drama League continues the Summer 2014 Programming Schedule with the ever popular 'Up Close' Series featuring Broadway veterans Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Kate Wetherhead, co-creators of the online web series, 'Submissions Only,' who will be joined by members of the cast on Monday, June 30, 2014 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas).

On Monday, June 16th the Theater People Podcast welcomes 'If/Then' and 'Rent' star Anthony Rapp. Topics discussed include Rapp's two year journey helping to bring 'If/Then' to the Broadway stage (he's been with the show since even before the workshop phase), collaborating with the show's creators Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt to create the character of Lucas, and reuniting with friend and 'Rent' co-star Idina Menzel (he has high praise for her work ethic, talent, and ability to maintain her status as one of Broadway's few 'marquee names').

Golden Globe and Tony Award-winning actor Hugh Jackman returned last night to host THE 68TH ANNUAL TONY® AWARDS, broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on the CBS Television Network. The event marked Jackman's fourth time hosting the Tonys. For a complete list of the night's winners, click here! The party continued long after the stars left Radio City Music Hall last night. 'Internationally ignored song stylist' Hedwig Robinson (Neil Patrick Harris) brings her fourth-wall-smashing rock 'n' roll saga to New York to set the record straight about her life, her loves and the botched operation that left her with that 'angry inch.' The text is by John Cameron Mitchell with music and lyrics by Stephen Trask.

Kevin Adams won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical for HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH. This is Kevin Adams's sixth Tony nomination. He won Tony Awards for his lighting designs of Spring Awakening (2007), The 39 Steps (2008), and American Idiot (2010).
