What does it take to paint one of the greatest male ballet dancers of the 20th century? One can surmise, a talented artist. But, what if the task of painting an icon became a challenge between capturing the dancer in motion and becoming conscious of the motion of the dancer?

George Street Playhouse and American Repertory Ballet will co-host a discussion on the late ballet and film legend, Rudolf Nureyev, led by Princeton Ballet School Director Mary Pat Robertson, tonight, February 19, 2016. The discussion -- free and open to the public -- will take place at 7 p.m. at George Street Playhouse (9 Livingston Avenue) prior to that evening's 8 p.m. performance of NUREYEV'S EYES, on stage at GSP now through February 21.

George Street Playhouse announced today that Edie Falco, an Emmy Award winner for her leading roles in The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, and Grant Shaud, well known to TV audiences from his role of Miles Silverman on Murphy Brown, will perform a special reading of Matt Hoverman's new play, Thrillsville, directed by Michael Mastro, at the New Brunswick theatre on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 7 pm. Proceeds of the one-night-only performance will benefit George Street Playhouse.

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint has announced the slate of plays scheduled for the New Brunswick theatre's 2015-2016 season. George Street's 42nd Season consists of a slate of four plays ranging from Mysterious Musical Comedy Mayhem to Sex With Strangers. 

The Harbor Lights Theater Company (Harbor Lights), a professional Equity Theater Company based in Staten Island, led by Founders and Artistic Directors Tamara Jenkins and Jay Montgomery, stages RENT - 20th Anniversary Celebration! now through October 4th at the Snug Harbor Music Hall. Projectivity was invited to collaborate with NYC Underground to help paint the set the production. Harbor Lights' production of the landmark 1996 Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning musical RENT will be helmed by award winning director Alex Perez. The production begins tonight, September 18, and runs through October 4, 2015 at The Music Hall at Snug Harbor.

George Street Playhouse announced today that due to an unforeseen illness, award-winning vocalist MAUREEN McGOVERN has been placed under a doctor's care and will not be appearing at the New Brunswick theatre on Wednesday, September 16, as previously announced. The performance will not be rescheduled.
