The ground-breaking musical hits a new landmark this summer when it celebrates its 10th anniversary on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 with a 'Thank Q' to fans for the decade of laughter and love: starting at 10 a.m., the first 100 patrons in line can purchase $10 seats (cash only) to the special 7 p.m. 10th anniversary performance at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.), where AVENUE Q has performed for the past four years following its triumphant six-year run on Broadway.

QUICK TAKE: AVENUE Q National Tour in Denver

AVENUE Q RETURNS TO DENVER FOR A LIMITED ENGAGEMENT MARCH 11-13!

BWW Reviews: It Doesn't Suck To Be 'AVENUE Q'
by Michael L. Quintos - Mar 4, 2011

You know you're in for a naughty good time when a show includes graphic puppet sex, cute but sadistic bears, and a special appearance by TV's Gary Coleman. What can somewhat be described as a very, very adult-leaning, expletive-spewing cousin of the iconic PBS children's series Sesame Street, AVENUE Q-whose 2nd National Tour is now playing a too-brief, week-long engagement at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood through March 6-manages to be both entertaining and revolutionary. Timely, surprisingly touching, mildly offensive, harmlessly risque, and downright hilarious, AVENUE Q is easily one the smartest, funniest musical comedies ever to grace a Broadway stage in the last few decades.

A Theatre Lover's Guide to DC/Capital Area Theatres - July 2010 Offerings
by Joel Markowitz - Jun 30, 2010

Is there any better place to celebrate the Fourth of July than the Nation's Capital? If you're in town for the fireworks and concert on the Mall, consider popping into one of our local theatres. This month's MUST-SEES include The Capital Fringe Festival and Hip-Hop Festival, pirates, a high-flying nanny, a supreme trio, a boar with a flapjack, a crazy one-man Lord of the Rings, those loveable Tony Award-winning puppets, lots of plaid, a household of singing sisters, Stew's 'strange' score, and a concert version of a Rodgers and Hart classic musical. There's something for everyone in July on our DC area stages.

AVENUE Q Ends Stint at the Fox Theatre, 5/2
by BWW News Desk - May 2, 2010

AVENUE Q is the smash-hit Broadway musical about real life in New York City, as told by a cast of people and puppets through a hilariously irreverent, Tony-winning book and score. The three-time Tony Award winning musical will end its run in St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on May 2.

BWW Reviews: Hilarious Production of AVENUE Q at the Fox Theatre through 5/2
by Chris Gibson - May 1, 2010

I was just a wee bit too old to have watched Sesame Street when it premiered on public television during the late 1960's, although I was certainly aware of its impact. But, it wasn't until my son was born a few years back that I was fully exposed to its sunny charms. Which is probably why AVENUE Q, the wickedly funny parody of this venerable children's classic, resonates so deeply with me. It's an incredibly amusing, adult-oriented satire filled with goofy puppets, catchy songs, and clever animated films, and it's currently playing the Fox Theatre for a brief run ending May 2, 2010.
