London's West End has been abuzz for weeks about the highly anticipated return of Miss Saigon, featuring a new 25th anniversary production, directed by Laurence Connor, who's helped bring us new productions of other Cameron Mackintosh shows including The Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables in new stagings.
So far, the early reports are great, and on Facebook, the production gave the world a first glimpse at the return of the helicopter!

According to The Stage, Cameron Mackintosh has teamed up with producer Michael Harrison to tour the musical Barnum around the UK, launching in 2014. Barnum was originally written by Mark Bramble, book, and Michael Stewart, lyrics, with the music composed by By Coleman. The tour production is considered a 'revised version' which was produced at the Chichester Festival Theatre earlier this year.

The longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Harold Prince and produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Theatre Company, Inc., will welcome West End star and Platinum-selling Swedish recording star Peter Joback to the New York cast this summer. Mr. Joback will assume the title role for a limited engagement from today, April 29 through Saturday, August 24, 2012.

Many media outlets in the Philippines have already published series of auditions tips, which primarily came from Tony winner Lea Salonga and London-based actress Monique Wilson, Filipino actresses that both starred in the original production of MISS SAIGON in London 22 years ago.
