The Stratford Shakespeare Festival has announced that Artistic Director Des McAnuff has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada.

A celebration of the life of John Neville will be held in Stratford next month. Mr. Neville, who was Artistic Director of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival from 1986 to 1989, died on November 19. He was 86.

From his stage debut in the late-1940s through to his spectacular screen career begun with Sidney Lumet's STAGE STRUCK in 1958, in this career-spanning clip collection we will be sampling many of the most memorable and most notable projects from a rich resume ranging from almost every major male role in the canon of Shakespeare - AS YOU LIKE IT to THE WINTER'S TALE - to the work of Lilian Hellman, Bertolt Brecht, Henrik Ibsen, Anton Chekhov and Peter Shaffer to Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE SOUND OF MUSIC on film to the Tony Award-winning Anthony Burgess musical adaptation of CYRANO onstage, to TV's THE THORN BIRDS and ON GOLDEN POND all the way to last year's double-header of brilliance in both David Fincher's THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGTON TATTOO and BEGINNERS, the latter being the part for which Plummer finally received a Best Actor Academy Award. Of course, besides his well-earned Oscar, Plummer has amassed many other top honors over the course of his sixty-year-career, as well - two Tony Awards (for CYRANO, a musical, and BARRYMORE, a two-person mostly monologue); a Golden Globe; two Emmy Awards; a SAG Award; a Genie; the list goes on and on… as does Christopher Plummer's reputable and riveting career.

After premiering at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2011, the acclaimed film BARRYMORE starring Academy Award® winner Christopher Plummer, directed & adapted by Érik Canuel, will be shown at select cinemas in Canada beginning in May 2012 and throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other countries in October 2012.

On the heels of the explosive A Streetcar Named Desire, the Guthrie Theater today announced complete casting for Tennessee Williams' drama Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. This Pulitzer Prize-winning classic about a Southern family in crisis receives its second-ever Guthrie staging. Last produced at the Guthrie in 1976 under the artistic leadership of Michael Langham, this production will play from January 14- February 26, 2012, on the Wurtele Thrust Stage. Lisa Peterson (Major Barbara, Oedipus and Mrs. Warren's Profession) will direct.

According to TVLine, Broadway veteran and frequent GLEE guest star Jonathan Groff is set to visit CBS' 'The Good Wife' this winter. Groff will play 'Jimmy, a plaintiff suing a software company after his sister disappears during a peaceful protest in Syria.' The episode is set to air in February.

According to a report by TVLine.com, Broadway favorite Jonathan Groff will indeed be returning to Fox's GLEE as Rachel's ex (Lea Michele), Jesse St. James. With about 100 people in the room, it was a great turnout. If you're not familiar with the Vanderbilt Estate, the security guard may have to show you where the theater is as he had to with me.
