On last night's season finale of Lifetime's PROJECT RUNWAY Season 11, designers Michelle Lesniak Franklin, Patricia Michaels and Stanley Hudson battled it out for the championship title during New York's Fashion Week.

FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Ends Off-Broadway Run 4/28

There are only a few more performances to catch for Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING! at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street). The smash musical, which received unanimous raves from critics and audiences alike, broke all box-office records at the 47th Street Theatre and won spots on the Top Ten Lists of Time Magazine and the Associated Press, will begin its hiatus on Sunday, April 28, in order to make room for The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's own season, as required by the show's lease agreement with the theatre.

Graduating Class of FIT is the Future of Fashion

The runway at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) will once again be the place for established designers, editors, and other VIPs to preview the fashion industry's most promising young designers when the college presents The Future of Fashion, the annual end-of-year runway show, on May 1 at 6:30 p.m. Approximately 80 outstanding looks created by graduating Fashion Design students will be selected from a field of 330, including sportswear, special occasion, knitwear, intimate apparel, and children's wear designed for fall 2013. This year's show will also showcase a capsule collection by graduating Fashion Design students who spent their final year at the college's Milan campus at the Politecnico di Milano.

PROJECT RUNWAY Expands with Two-Hour Episodes Leading to Season Finale

For the remainder of this season of Lifetime's Emmy(R) Award-nominated Project Runway, viewers and fashionistas will get their fill with three straight weeks of extended two-hour episodes, starting Thursday, April 11th, from 9:00pm- 11:00pm ET/PT, when guest judge multiple Grammy winner John Legend lends his hand to decide which designers get to go to Fashion Week as the remaining designers travel to Paris, Barcelona, Berlin and London seeking inspiration for their final challenge.

Loehmann's Names Finalists of NY Design Challenge With FIT

Three students at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) were named finalists in off-price specialty retailer Loehmann's NY Design Challenge competition, held exclusively with FIT. Ou Ma of Beijing, China; Maor Tapiro from Brooklyn, NY; and Ying Wang of Xi'an, China, received the highest number of votes out of seven semi-finalists during a weeklong contest held on Loehmann's Facebook page.

PATTI ISSUES Extends Again, Through 6/29

BEN RIMALOWER: "PATTI ISSUES" - the hit solo play hailed as "ecstatically vivid" by The New York Times and praised for its "wit, feeling and conviction" by Time Out New York - has announced a sixth extension after more rave reviews and a host of awards. The show will now run through June 29 at The Duplex in the West Village. Since "PATTI ISSUES" opened in August, it has become a must-see show on the downtown theater scene, garnering great word-of-mouth from attendees such as Alan Cumming, Michael Kors, Justin Vivian Bond, Tonya Pinkins, Perez Hilton and Ms. LuPone herself ("I was moved," she said. "He's a very talented man and I'm so proud of him.") Included as "Best New York Theater of 2012," The Advocate called the show "smart, poignant and dishy as hell," while it was dubbed "pithy and unforgettable" by The Huffington Post and "a very fierce comedy" by BroadwayWorld.com. "PATTI ISSUES" received a special Bistro Award for solo play in March and just won the MAC Award for "Male Debut." The show will be performed in Berkeley, San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles between March 26 and March 30. On Wednesday, April 17, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will host its annual Hot Pink Party at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. This year's event, themed ¡Viva Fiesta!, will feature a performance by Multi-Grammy Award-winning artist Sir Elton John. The always sold-out affair will pay special tribute to Kay Krill, President and CEO of ANN INC., as she receives BCRF's Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award, presented by award-winning actress and ambassador of Ann Taylor's spring and summer 2013 campaigns, Kate Hudson. Joining the evening's festivities will be actress and supermodel Elizabeth Hurley, as well as co-chairs Donna Karan, Michael Kors, William Lauder, and Vera Wang, among others. The Foundation hopes to top last year's record-setting goal of more than $5 million in funds raised to support life-saving breast cancer research.

Hudson Group to Open Upscale Shops in JFK Terminal 4

As part of an expansion project currently underway at JFK International Airport Terminal 4, a joint venture led by premier travel retailer Hudson Group will be implementing a dynamic new concessions program to enhance the shopping experience for millions of travelers at JFK's Terminal 4. The program includes five new specialty shops featuring fashion icons Michael Kors, Coach, Thomas Pink, Solstice and Victoria's Secret and seven new Hudson travel essentials stores, as well as a Discover New York souvenir shop. The stores will open in three phases between May and October of this year.

Gerard Alessandrini's, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING, which received unanimous raves from critics and audiences alike, broke all box-office records at the 47th Street Theatre, and won spots on the Top Ten Lists of Time Magazine and the Associated Press, will wind up its current edition at the 47th Street Theatre on Sunday, April 28, in order to make room for The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's own season, as required by the show's lease agreement with the theatre. In a statement, Mr. Alessandrini said, "We knew from the start that the theatre could only be ours until the end of April. Although we hate to leave town when we're a hit, I actually think this is a perfect time for us to wind up "Alive and Kicking", which has been a thrilling return to New York for us, to take a brief break; and to begin plans to return with another edition later this year." The show, which has recently added extended parodies of Cinderella and the movie version of Les Miz, is also a Critic's Pick for The New York Times, The Daily News and New York Magazine.
