This November, after five years of ongoing renovations, the popular Upper West Side performance space the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street) will officially re-launch as STAGE 72 as a part of the New York Comedy Festival, which will include performances and appearances by Susie Essman, David Steinberg, Meredith Vieira, two special editions of Celebrity Autobiography featuring Janeane Garofalo, Tony Danza, Mario Cantone, Oscar-nominee Jennifer Tilly, SNL alum Rachel Dratch, and more.

The National Board of Review announced today that Meredith Vieira will return to host the annual National Board of Review Awards Gala, taking place on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. This year, the NBR will announce their award winners on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

A star-studded line-up of performers will join host Jon Stewart during COMEDY CENTRAL's biennial autism benefit, 'Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs' (#2ManyStars). This year's charity special features taped segments from the Beacon Theatre in New York City, including a helium debate between Chris Matthews and Bill O'Reilly, surprise appearances from Sting, Louis CK and Ben Stiller and the inspiring and moving duet of 'Firework' between Katy Perry and 11-year old Jodi DiPiazza . The show will also include additional live wrap-arounds hosted by Stewart from 'The Daily Show' studio, including a celebrity phone bank, which allows viewers to call in during the show to donate while speaking and, for the first time, video chatting with additional comedic heavyweights. Broadway's Lawrence Leritz will appear in 'Night Of Too Many Stars', performing in 'Call Me Maybe' with Carly Rae Jepsen and Harvey Keitel. Comedy Central has once again joined forces with Jon Stewart's Busboy Productions for its fourth biennial special event, 'Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs.' James Braly's LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION has been announced as one of the closing night shows of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival. The critically acclaimed one-man show, written and performed by This American Life contributor James Braly, returns to New York City from its national tour for the first time since its sold-out Off-Broadway run.
