Producer Danielle Tarento to Present World Premiere of GODS AND MONSTERS at Southwark Playhouse

With her production of DOGFIGHT nominated Best Musical in the recent Evening Standard Awards (her leading actress, Laura Jane Matthewman won Best Emerging Talent), and with rehearsals underway for the European premiere of Jerry Herman's 1979 Broadway musical, The Grand Tour, which opens at the Finborough Theatre on January 1, producer Danielle Tarento today announces the world premiere of GODS AND MONSTERS.

Maureen Lipman to Join UK's HARVEY, February 6

Maureen Lipman will be joining James Dreyfus in Lindsay Posner's new production of Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy HARVEY, which will open at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on 6 February, running until 21 February, prior to a UK Tour and the West End. Maureen Lipman will be playing Veta, who tries to get her brother, Elwood P. Dowd played by James Dreyfus, committed rather than risk the family's reputation.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the latest presentation in its acclaimed Without Walls (WoW) series, THE GRIFT at the Lafayette Hotel, a world-premiere, immersive theatre piece, conceived, written and directed by Diabolical Muse's Tom Salamon, creator of the Playhouse's wildly-successful WoW production of Accomplice: San Diego. The show will run January 27 - February 22, 2015 at North Park's historic Lafayette Hotel.

Menier Chocolate Factory Artistic Director David Babani welcomes Jamie Lloyd's major revival of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's ASSASSINS as part of the theatre's 10-year anniversary season. Joining Carly Bawden, Simon Lipkin, Mike McShane, Andy Nyman, David Roberts and Catherine Tate are Stewart Clarke, Harry Morrison, Aaron Tveit and Jamie Parker. Bruntwood Prize For Playwriting 2015 Sets Judging Panel

The 2015 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting today announced its judging panel ahead of this year's official launch on 29 January 2015, which will also mark the Prize's 10th anniversary. The competition, a unique partnership between the Royal Exchange Theatre and property company Bruntwood, will accept entries from 30 January 2015.
