A new musical is making its first appearance for one weekend only at the Aurora Fox, and it's tackling something a bit more contemporary. Bookface…the Musical explores how a family can both disconnect and reconnect through social media.

"Miscast' is an opportunity for some of the local theatre community's top performers to sing songs and act out scenes they would never … ever! … get cast to perform on a legitimate stage. This popular tradition returns for one night only at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 14, as a benefit for the Denver Actors Fund at the Town Hall Arts Center, 2450 Main St., Littleton, CO 80120.

The Spitfire Grill, based on the film of the same name, follows Percy (Megan Van De Hey), who just got out of prison. A page from an old magazine brings her to the town of Gilead, Wisconson, where she finds a job at the Spitfire Grill working for Hannah (Anne Oberbroeckling), an aging widow who also lives in the building. While Hannah has been trying to sell it for years, Percy suggests she raffle it off for whoever writes the best essay and sends a hundred dollars. They team up with Shelby (Kelly Watt), who also works at the grill.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 9th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada, Colorado. Arvada Center Artistic Producer Rod A. Lansberry has announced the cast for The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap directed by Pat Payne, will run in the intimate Black Box Theater January 28 - February 23, 2014. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Due to popular demand three 1:00 p.m. matinees have been added on Thursdays, February 6, 13 and 20.
