Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 10/30 for New Jersey

Arden Theatre Company kicked off its 2011/12 main stage season with the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning August: Osage County by Tracy Letts. Directed by the Arden's Producing Artistic Director Terrence J. Nolen, this epic play will close on the Arden's intimate F. Otto Haas stage October 30, 2011.

The Open Fist Theatre Company and The Aquila Morong Studio are thrilled to announce their co-production, CRIMES OF THE HEART, written by Beth Henley and directed by John Hindman.

People's Light & Theatre presents Treasure Island: A Musical Panto, by Kathryn Petersen, with music and lyrics by Michael Ogborn. It runs November 16, 2011 - January 8, 2012 on the Main Stage.

Springpoint Foundation has announced that Steve Runk, former Executive Director of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, is this year's recipient of the Award of Excellence in Cultural Arts and Humanities.

American Theater Company (ATC) announces a limited-run of Escape, a subscriber-only theatrical event featuring three recently-discovered short plays written by Tennessee Williams and three modern dances choreographed by DanszLoop Chicago Artistic Director Paula Frasz.

Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) is extending its world-premiere production of Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS a second time -- extending now through November 20 -- it has been announced by The Vineyard's Artistic Director Douglas Aibel and Co-Artistic Director Sarah Stern.

The Show Goes On Productions presents Ghost Dancer, a world premiere political drama written by Robert L. Hecker. Joshua A. Kashinsky directs a cast of seven including Reza Salazar* (TV: Louie, Law & Order: CI, Film: See Girl Run - 2012), Leajato Amara Robinson*, Jorge Acosta* (TV: 30 Rock), Luis Salgado* (In The Heights, Women on the Verge...), Lilia Vassileva*, Rosie Lani Fiedelman* (In The Heights), and Arturo Castro* (TV: We Are New York).

The Kitchen Theatre Company's 21st Season continues with a powerful, funny, and moving coming-of-age story, Charlayne Woodard's Neat.

McCarter Theatre will present the world premiere of Marina Carr's Phaedra Backwards, directed by Artistic Director Emily Mann, October 18 through November 6.
