David Leonard will take over the role of Miss Trunchbull from Tuesday 3 July 2012 and Annette McLaughlin will join the company as Mrs Wormwood from Tuesday 21 August 2012. They will play alongside Haley Flaherty and Steve Furst who have recently joined the Company as Miss Honey and Mr Wormwood. Bertie Carvel's last performance as Miss Trunchbull will take place on Sunday 1 July and Josie Walker will perform as Mrs Wormwood for the last time on Sunday 19 August.

According to Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, Downton Abbey's creator Julian Fellowes is currently in talks to write the book for an upcoming musical version of the Oscar-winning 2008 film 'Slumdog Millionaire.' Ghost and Matitlda director Matthew Warchus has been approached to direct.

Dress Circle have announced that Ghost's Mark Evans will be appearing in their Covent Garden store to sign copies of his latest album 'The Journey Home', The Deluxe Version, on Saturday 16th June 2012 - 2 days before the official release date. Mark will be signing from 12pm - 1pm on the day and signed copies are available to pre-order.

As travelers jet off for the Memorial Day weekend, American Airlines will host a special performance from Broadway's newest hit, GHOST, at Terminal 8 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) today, May 24.

According to The Independent, Danny Boyle has broken off negotiations to bring a Slumdog Millionaire musical adaptation to the West End. But his collaborator, TV producer Paul Smith, supposedly has Downton Abbey's creator Julian Fellowes in the wings.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, which won big at this year's Olivier Awards, will open in New York early 2013. Matilda The Musical premiered at The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, home of the RSC, playing to sold-out audiences for twelve weeks from November 2010 to January 2011.

Yesterday, May 8, the cast of Broadway's GHOST visited New York Citiy's 14th St. Apple Store for a performance and discussion. The event featured cast members Richard Fleeshman (Sam Wheat), Caissie Levy (Molly Jensen) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Oda Mae Brown), and a live performance of songs from the original score composed by multiple Grammy Award winners Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. The West End production of GHOST THE MUSICAL is now booking until 20th April 2013 and has been seen by over 430,000 people in the UK. Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, who lead the West End cast in the award-winning Ghost the Musical, have recently recorded their own cover version of Somebody That I Used To Know in celebration of Gotye and Kimbra's original. The original single has reached number one in the top forty charts and is currently number one in the Billboard album charts. Since its release on You Tube last Friday, Dillon and Evans' version has currently been seen by over 14,500 people. This track isn't for sale or to download, simply a bit of Ghost the Musical fun for fans of the song and musical to enjoy. Check out the video below!
