New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Jonathan Cake has joined the cast of Restoration, written by Claudia Shear, and directed by Christopher Ashley. Mr. Cake assumes the role to have been played by Danny Mastrogiorgio.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) continues this summer's Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series with the New York premiere of Bachelorette, written by Leslye Headland. Directed by Trip Cullman, Bachelorette will feature Aya Cash, Tracee Chimo, Tate Ellington, Carmen M. Herlihy, Celia Keenan-Bolger and Eddie Kaye Thomas.

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes Penguin Rep Theatre, in association with Chase Mishkin, to AMERICAS OFF BROADWAY with the New York City premiere of FREED, written by Charles Smith and directed by Joe Brancato. FREED begins previews on Friday, June 11 for a limited engagement through Saturday, July 3.

Last night, June 7, Matthew Broderick served as the special guest performer in the famed Celebrity Autobiography at the Triad Theatre. The 2009 Drama Desk Award winner and 2010 Bistro Award winner Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words also featured Mario Cantone, Dick Cavett, Jackie Hoffman, Kristen Johnston, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Sherri Shepherd, and Alan Zweibel. Executive Producer Lou Spisto has announced that due to unforeseen conflicts with Roger Rees' schedule, The Old Globe's upcoming production of What You Will has been replaced with Golda's Balcony starring four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. Written by William Gibson and supervised by Scott Schwartz, Golda's Balcony earned Feldshuh a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress, and is the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history. Golda's Balcony will runin the Old Globe Theatre April 28 - May 30. Previews run April 28 - May 1. Opening night is Saturday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available to subscribers only. Sex and the City 2 had its official New York City premiere last night, May 24th at Radio City Music Hall. The film will hit screens in the same date slot that Sex and the City did in 2008 on May 27.

Marcia Milgrom Dodge, whose critically acclaimed production of 'Ragtime' transferred from the Kennedy Center to Broadway last fall and is nominated for six Helen Hayes Awards, will direct and choreograph the Reprise Theatre Company production of the 1962 Pulitzer Prize winner 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.' The production will end its run May 23rd.

Restoration, written by Claudia Shear and directed by Christopher Ashley opened at the New York Theatre Workshop this week on May 19, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through Sunday, June 13.
