Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, is returning to Washington, D.C. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at the National Theatre for two weeks only, June 12 through June 24. Hosted by WWE superstar Steve Austin, REDNECK ISLAND will take 12 red, white and blue-collared Americans out of their element, and far away from cold beer, for the ultimate redneck-style competition series, which debuts Saturday, June 9 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT with a special 2-hour long premiere.

Variety is reporting that Rob Ashford has just been brought on board to direct and choreograph the stage musical version of Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND, which he will oversee. The 2010 film made more than $1 billion worldwide.
