MET's resident improv and sketch comedy group, The Comedy Pigs, is gearing up for what promises to be another highly successful Comedy Extravaganza onFriday, August 5th and Saturday, August 6th at 8pm. Directed by Matthew DiCarlo and with music direction by Henry Aronson, The concert included songs from bands like REO Speedwagon, STYX, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, Whitesnake and more! PETER AND THE STARCATCHER is a bit of a homecoming for 'Jersey boy' Tim Hackney, who plays the role of Mrs. Bumbrake in the hit comedy. We caught up with the actor on the road to talk about his upcoming pit stop in the Garden State.

Tony Award nominee and 'American Idol' finalist Constantine Maroulis returned to Rock of Ages as Drew last night and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture his epic return. Maroulis will appear for a limited 12-week engagement through October 26, 2014.

Although the word 'iconic' has been overused of late, I daresay FIDDLER has reached that status. Its themes of family, love, community and yes - tradition - have made it a transformative experience for five decades of theatergoers.

The 2014 Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards ceremony took place at Paper Mill Playhouse on Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:30pm with an audience of over 1,200. Princeton Day School came out on top, winning Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical for their production of Urinetown. A total of 29 awards were presented along with five scholarships and other cash prizes.

As one of the nation's leading regional theaters and producing partners for Broadway, Paper Mill Playhouse has a well-earned reputation for launching both performers and shows for Broadway. Since their inception in 1996, the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theatre have ignited the careers of many notable performers, all of whom attended high school in New Jersey.
