The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2017-2018 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, August 27, to patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party was generously hosted by Synchronicity Theatre, at 7:30pm, One Peachtree Pointe, 1545 Peachtree St. NE #102, Atlanta.  

Comedian Nicky Paris has been tapped as the red carpet host for the 5th Annual Burbank Comedy Festival featuring Jeff Garlin, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Daniel Franzese, the Cast of Animaniacs and over 200 of the hottest comedic talents from around the globe. The gripping comedian best known for his performances on The Wendy Williams Show, MTV and his electrifying live performances, will be covering the festival's 5-stage expansion from Sunday, August 12th to Saturday, August 18th. Festival passes, individual show tickets, and special hotel rates are now available at http://www.burbankcomedyfestival.com/.

DETROITERS Returns for Season Two with Back-to-Back Episodes on 6/21

Season two of Detroiters is almost here! The series will premiere with back-to-back half-hour episodes tomorrow at 10pm ET/PT and then each Thursday at 10:30pm ET/PT through the finale. In the second season premiere titled 'April in the D,' Tim and Sam discover that a local attorney's ho-hum demeanor melts away the moment he picks up a guitar. Tim Meadows guest stars. Season two of Detroiters is almost here! The series will premiere with back-to-back half-hour episodes on Thursday, June 21 at 10pm ET/PT and then each Thursday at 10:30pm ET/PT through finale.

SENSE & SENSIBILITY is running at Cape Fear Regional Theatre from April 12 to April 29. The show has been adapted for the stage by Kate Hamill, who received a Drama League nomination in 2016. 

THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH follows a family's pursuit of happiness in the Magic Kingdom, is a personal recount of a family journey that could be a Disney movie itself. is playing through April 15th at Diversionary Theatre.

Atlanta's nationally acclaimed ALLIANCE THEATRE and Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth just announced the productions of the Theater's 50th anniversary season. Since opening in 1968 the Alliance has been dedicated to expanding hearts and minds on stage and off with diverse programming for all ages, including 110 world premieres.

Theatre Raleigh's Family Series is back and better than ever! Last year they welcomed more than 2,000 young people and their families into their audience, and they are expected to exceed that this season. They will be bringing back last year's breakout hit, A Midsummer Night's Dream (March 2- 18) and follow that with the premiere of a brand new show Adventure Road: A Story of Huck & Tom (April 13-29). CROSSING DELANCEY plays at Alliance Theatre through November 25. The play that inspired the hit film, Crossing Delancey is the story of Izzy, a beautiful, intelligent, single young woman, and her 80-year-old Bubbie, who is determined to see her granddaughter get married before she dies. Giving Cupid a nudge, this irascible granny hires a matchmaker and sets out to find her granddaughter the perfect mate. But will Sam, the neighborhood pickle man, be the kind of man Izzy has in mind?
