Philadelphia Theatre Company announces that Mary Birdsong, Aisha de Haas, Kate Flannery, Ashley Austin Morris, andJoyce Van Patten will appear in the Philadelphia cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore on June 25-July 7 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. This intimate collection of stories by sisters Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron and directed by Karen Carpenter is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman. Like the popular book, the show uses clothing, accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories to which all women can relate. This production is presented by special arrangement with producer Daryl Roth.

As first reported on Deadline.com, GLEE's Romy Rosemont has been cast in Roseanne Barr's upcoming NBC comedy DOWNWARDLY MOBILE. Actress Mary Birdsong joins the cast as well.The actors will join Barr and previously announced cast member John Goodman on the project.

Katy Perry will guest-star in the time period premiere of RAISING HOPE airing Tuesday, March 6 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. In the 'Single White Female Role Model' episode, Perry will play RIKKI, a prison attendant who claims to be a friend from Sabrina's (Shannon Woodward) past.

It's very hard to stay objective when a favorite story of yours is taken to a new medium and not used to its fullest potential. Unfortunately, dear readers, such was the case of my latest journey outside of Seattle to see some things that the rest of the country has to offer theatrically. But I'll try to remain objective while discussing American Conservatory Theater's production of "Tales of the City: A New Musical" that I witnessed in San Francisco.
