BWW Exclusive: The Wickedly Glee-ful Idina Menzel lands in Toronto

Idina Menzel arrives in Toronto for two very special concerts November 17th and 18th. The Tony Award winning star of Rent, Wicked and Glee will perform with Marvin Hamlisch and the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony Orchestra and the concert will be filmed live for PBS. This marks the first time Idina will perform in Toronto since 2008, and she was kind enough to speak with BWW about why she chose Toronto, her role on Glee and her musical theatre past, present and future.

Entering its third month at the Byron Carlyle Theatre, the Miami Beach Stage Door Theatre presents Neil Simon's award-winning comedy 'The Prisoner of Second Avenue,' opening Friday, November 11 through November 26. The production replaces 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' on the season schedule.

Barbra Streisand and Robert Barth was honored by the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors at their annual Gala on Tuesday, November 8th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Proceeds from the Gala, sponsored by Lexus, will benefit the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. Lexus will donate a 2012 Lexus LS 600h L Luxury Hybrid sedan to be raffled off during the Gala. The Gala was hosted by Seth Rogen, and included a performance by Marvin Hamlisch.
